Childers Photography opened
for business in 1976 in Riverside (formerly Mad River Township).
The Studio started as a part-time business and love of the owner,
Chuck Childers. By the end of the first quarter, 1977, the demand
for our services was such that we could open on a full time basis.
The main reason for starting the business was so that Chuck would be
free to pursue a career in law. Law school schedules are such that
one cannot work full time and attend full time law school. Wedding
photography is a weekend type of occupation thus allowing Chuck to
attend University of Dayton Law School. In 1983, Chuck graduated
from UD Law School. By graduation, Chuck had found his true love:
photography. The Studio photographs over 200 weddings a year and has photographed over 3200 weddings in the last 23 years. We have provided wedding photography for the most discriminating clients from Indiana to West Virginia and from Toledo to Kentucky. We also do many family, individual, and business portraits. The Studio is retained to provide the photography for other business' brochures, advertising, and websites. We also are one of the
largest volume wedding invitation dealers in the Dayton area. We
have over 20 large books that contain hundreds of styles. Every
client receives a 30% discount on everything,
including: invitations, reception cards, RSVP card, thank you
cards, unity candles, cake knives, toasting glasses, bridesmaids'
and groomsmen's gifts, etc. Our wedding photography
services are in such demand and we book up dates so quickly that we
have to turn away over 150 weddings per year. If there is a wedding
date in your future, call us early. We usually book a year and a
half in advance. But even if your wedding is only weeks away,
please call. We occasionally have cancellations and some days are
just slow to book. You will find that our
prices are extremely competitive in the Dayton area. A bride can
have an extremely nice album for between $825 to $1400. A
comparable album from a comparable quality studio will cost over
$2200. Our extremely high volume allows us to keep the prices at a
